Your permissions

The first one is needed to audition. The other two are your choice, and saying no doesn't affect your audition.

  • We use your audition only to judge your voice and decide whether to offer you work.
  • It's kept in a private Google Drive that only Kathavani can open.
  • If we don't work together, we delete it within 90 days, unless you allow the options below.
  • हम आपका ऑडिशन सिर्फ़ आपकी आवाज़ परखने और आपको काम देने का फ़ैसला करने के लिए इस्तेमाल करेंगे।
  • इसे एक निजी Google Drive में रखा जाएगा, जिसे सिर्फ़ कथावाणी खोल सकता है।
  • अगर हम साथ काम नहीं करते, तो 90 दिनों के अंदर इसे मिटा दिया जाएगा, जब तक आप नीचे की अनुमतियाँ न दें।
  • We may play short clips to customers choosing an artist, and on our website or social media.
  • We never show your full name, only your first name or an artist code.

  • We may license your audition, and recordings from paid data sessions you choose to do, to companies that build speech technology such as speech recognition and text-to-speech.
  • You get of what Kathavani earns from every licence that includes your recordings, paid by UPI within 30 days of us being paid. Data sessions are paid separately, at a rate agreed before you record.
  • A buyer may build a voice that sounds like yours. They may not name it after you or use it to pretend to be you, and our contract with them says so. We never license your recordings for political, sexual, fraud or impersonation content.
  • Erotic-mood recordings and recordings made for customer orders are never included.
  • You can withdraw any time by sending WITHDRAW on WhatsApp. We remove your recordings from new licences within 7 days. Licences already delivered can't be recalled.
  • हम आपका ऑडिशन, और आपके चुने हुए भुगतान वाले डेटा सेशन की रिकॉर्डिंग, उन कंपनियों को लाइसेंस कर सकते हैं जो आवाज़ पहचानने और टेक्स्ट से आवाज़ बनाने जैसी तकनीक बनाती हैं।
  • ऐसे हर लाइसेंस से, जिसमें आपकी रिकॉर्डिंग हो, कथावाणी की कमाई का आपको मिलेगा, हमें भुगतान मिलने के 30 दिनों के अंदर UPI से। डेटा सेशन का भुगतान अलग से, रिकॉर्डिंग से पहले तय दर पर होगा।
  • कोई ख़रीदार आपकी आवाज़ जैसी आवाज़ बना सकता है। वह उसे आपका नाम नहीं दे सकता और न ही उससे आपकी नक़ल कर सकता है; यह शर्त हमारे अनुबंध में होती है। आपकी रिकॉर्डिंग राजनीतिक, यौन, धोखाधड़ी या नक़ल वाले कंटेंट के लिए कभी लाइसेंस नहीं होगी।
  • Erotic मूड की रिकॉर्डिंग और ग्राहकों के ऑर्डर के लिए बनी रिकॉर्डिंग कभी शामिल नहीं होंगी।
  • आप कभी भी WhatsApp पर WITHDRAW भेजकर यह अनुमति वापस ले सकते हैं। 7 दिनों में आपकी रिकॉर्डिंग नए लाइसेंस से हटा दी जाएगी। पहले दिए जा चुके लाइसेंस वापस नहीं लिए जा सकते।
  • To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, message us on WhatsApp.

Send your audition

  1. Tap Send audition on WhatsApp below. It opens a chat with your details and choices.
  2. Record one voice note per take, starting with Take 0. Say the take number first, like “Take 2”.
  3. Use a quiet room with the fan and TV off. Hold the phone about a hand's length from your mouth, a little to the side.
  4. Change verb endings to match you, for example था or थी, if a script uses the other one.
